I get it. Iโve been there.
Cystic acne, painful PMS, unpredictable cycles, recurring UTIs, anxiety, mood swings, fatigue, brain fog, random weight gain, body dysmorphia, digestive issues โ if you can name it, Iโve probably experienced it.
As young as 15, I was put on the pill without having any idea of the long-term effects it may have on my body.
I was given harsh medications to mediate my symptoms while being told they were โjust geneticโ or โcompletely normal.โ
My bloodwork looked fine, I was eating well, and as a young athlete, I exercised constantly. But I knew there was something deeper going on in my body that needed to be addressed.
So, I quit the pill.
After being on the pill for 7 years, I decided to quit it cold turkey to see if it would help my mental health.
I had no knowledge of post-pill repercussions, and my doctor didnโt warn me of any side effects or transition symptoms.
Safe to say, my body threw a fit.
Six months after coming off the pill, I was experiencing the worst cystic acne of my life, hair loss, weight fluctuation, and extremely low energy.
On top of that, my period was heavy and irregular, and I had intense cramps every day.
I felt like my body hated me, and I hated it.
Unheard & hopeless.
Thatโs how I felt every time I left the doctor. I was tired, frustrated, and felt like there had to be answers to the problems I was feeling.
So I took matters into my own hands. I started deep-diving into the research behind what I was feeling and its root causes. I found answers that had always felt intuitive to me but had never been confirmed by anyone โ until now.
I began to understand the link between my symptoms and my nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset. And guess what?
I finally started to heal โ completely naturally.
